Sport Rules
Official Rules of Table Tennis
- GAMES ARE PLAYED TO 11 POINTS.
- ALTERNATE SERVES EVERY TWO POINTS.
- TOSS THE BALL STRAIGHT UP WHEN.
- THE SERVE CAN LAND ANYWHERE IN SINGLE.
- DOUBLES SERVES MUST GO RIGHT COURT TO RIGHT COURT.
- A SERVE THAT TOUCHES THE NET ON THE WAY OVER IS A ‘LET’.
- ALTERNATE HITTING IN A DOUBLES RALLY.
2023 Method of Play
There will have practice opportunities for all participants on Thursday July 20 and Monday July 24 at the Rec center from 1 to 3 pm and also on Tuesdays and Fridays after 5:00pm.
Our playdowns for singles will be played on August 14 from 7 to 10 pm. This is for men and women.
Further play downs will be on August 17 from 7 to 10 pm. The playdown schedule will be posted the first week of August. You must attend scheduled play downs or forfeit the game.
Play down games will be best of three games until quarter finals and then onward will be best of five games.
Final metal rounds to be played on August 26 from 10 to 12 noon.
