- Recreation Centre Special Events and Programs
- Condominium Board(s) Activities & Announcements

Please support this volunteer enterprise by keeping us aware of happenings which would be of interest to our residents.
The site continues to evolve and the input of all residents is welcome and encouraged.
Make certain to add www.hotg.ca to your Favourites list and visit often.
History:
Following discussions with a number of persons and groups who were active in organizing events and activities in Ballantrae, it was determined that a website devoted to the happenings in the community would be most helpful. Alex Flow and John Gorman (former HOTG Chair and ourbgcc.com founder) registered the domain name and, with the cooperation of several Condo Board officials and members of the Social Committee, ourbgcc.com was launched eight years ago.
Over time, many residents have contributed to the site. As the project matured and expanded, we were fortunate to have Peter Sims step up to take charge of the day to day operations. While Alex and John remained involved to assist and consult, final decisions as to content, placement and timing were made by Peter.
Some time afterwards, Bill Ahamad joined the group and was responsible for a user survey that was conducted to increase the effectiveness of the site. Bill also contributed coverage of social events on the Photos page as well as updating Resident Activities.
Judy Flow, co-ordinator of the Volunteer Assistance Program, had been providing and updating all the content in the Volunteering and Help for Residents pages.
As of October 2018, ourbgcc.com became formally part of Home on the Green, reporting to HOTG’s Board of Directors, and was renamed hotg.ca. For a full description of the change, please read the following note from John Gorman: Ourbgcc Joins HOTG
Recently, Mary Bresser volunteered to monitor and report on events in the many communities surrounding BGCC. Since she took over updating What’s On in the Area, it has become one of our largest pages.
Paul Mak, who had been maintaining Condo 1193 web pages for the past 4 years, joined as a backup to Peter.
When Peter had to take a leave in September 2019, Mary Bresser and Paul Mak took over running the website under the leadership of Donna Clarke (current Chair, Home On The Green). This team redesigned the hotg.ca home and Rec Centre pages, re-organized and redesigned Events pages as well as updating design and contents where required.
ourbgcc.ca and hotg.ca gratefully acknowledge the many years of financial support they have received from the Social Committee.
