March Computer Club Meeting Agenda
Time for our St. Patrick’s Day BGCC Computer Club meeting. It is scheduled for next Tuesday March 17 at our Rec Centre from 7:30PM until 9:00PM. Planned topics include:1. Last meeting, we featured an update to the Rogers Ignite TV service that many residents have now installed. One feature we didn’t have time to cover was the Ignite TV app for cell phones and tablets. This app is really handy for situations like travel, medical visits, portable TV use etc. This session will show off all its attributes. If you have Ignite already in your home, please install the app on your phone and/or iPad/tablet and bring it to the meeting for hands-on education. Make sure you know your MY ROGERS password so you can sign on to the app.2. 7 Free Software Applications that Everyone Needs in 2020: While many of us have gravitated to our iPads, tablets and other mobile devices for our everyday internet activity, the trusted PC still remains a staple in the majority of homes, getting regular use. Whether it’s the physical keyboard, the mouse, the larger screen or simply the familiarity, many tasks and activities just seem a little easier using a PC, whether it’s a laptop or otherwise. So let’s take a look at 7 free programs that everyone should have in order to enjoy even more value and functionality out of your PC.Grab your spouse/friend/buddy and join us next Tuesday ….. no “High Fives” with the instructors allowed!
